Decernis gComply™ is a web-based reference system permitting the regulatory user to obtain immediate answers to complex questions:
- How are substances that I use regulated in different countries in which I do business?
- How can I find out which national regulations are related?
- How can I track down all of these regulatory cross-references to find out what I really need to do?
- How can I search across regulations that are in languages that I do not speak?
gComply™ is designed to help the user answer these questions, and offers simple but powerful searching and cross-referencing tools at the users's fingertips - to save time, to make more effective decisions and to ensure that you meet applicable requirements.
gComply™ is like an electronic book with the current, original versions of all regulations in Adobe PDF format where all chemicals, topics, and regulatory requirements have been cross-referenced. Users can search regulations for chemical and biological substances by specifying:
- Chemical name or name fragment
- CAS Registry Number
- PM-Reference Number
- Color Index (C.I.) Constitution Number
- E Number
- PAFA Number
- A uniquely assigned Decernis number to assist in cross-referencing where no CAS Registry Number may exist
This search produces a Decernis Snapshot Report™ summarizing all global regulations having to do with a specific substance by topic. When the user clicks on a regulation, he or she is taken to the spot in the regulation where that chemical substance is referenced.
In addition, the user may browse regulations by topic to see all related requirements, or search by any word in the regulations.
Decernis covers broad areas of regulations as well as specialized subject areas, for example chemicals used in:
- Food Contact
- Food Additives
- Food Safety
- Cosmetics
Decernis is client-driven, and will respond to requests for coverage. Decernis establishes special relationships with pilot clients to determine their needs for scope and function of new databases, thus whenever additional regulatory areas are needed, Decernis works with clients to fulfill their needs. If you are interested in a regulatory database which Decernis does not yet cover, please contact us for further information.
